WHAT DO ALL THE BOARD SIZES MEAN?

Great question and one that we get often. Take a look at the graphic below and then review “What is the right size board for me?” question to get a feel for what is the best option for you! Each size longboard will have a different feel, and ride a little bit different. 

WHAT IS THE RIGHT SIZE BOARD FOR ME?

This depends on a few things: age, weight, height, balance and skill. Below are some guidelines to consider. 

30″ Wheel Cut Board

Usually smaller kids will ride these. Easy to carry, and not taller than you! We see more young kids ride this board. Buy if you have good balance and weigh under 120lbs. This size will feel more like a skateboard, easy on the go, and light to carry around. 

40″ Wheel Cut Board

Great all around size. Looks and feels like a long board. Buy if you want to carve and are good at riding. Good for any height or weight. A little experience helps with this board. Tradition longboard / skateboard size.  This board has a front and back, good for cruising and for all riders

40″ Platypus / Platypus Drop Through

Good for all ages, all sizes, all experience. The go to board for anyone – make it the ultimate board with the drop through. It will be lower to the ground, offer better balance, and made for speed.   This is the easiest board to ride. Widest board, and good for going super fast or just casual riding. longboard of choice.

48″ Pintail

Good for all ages, but it is heavy and super long. Young kids need to make sure they know what they are getting – it weighs 12lbs. This is the fun longboard for cruising by the beach.  This one is super easy to ride, lots of room for your feet and balance. Feel like you are surfing on this big longboard

48″ Dancer

Good for all ages, but it is heavy and super long. Young kids need to make sure they know what they are getting – it weighs 12lbs. Now is the time to longboard dance, show off your skills while you walk up and down on this longboard.  Smile and just have fun or go crazy with kick flips.

ARE THEY SLIPPERY? DO I NEED GRIP TAPE?

No. They are not slippery, and you do not need grip tape.  Our longboards do not need grip tape.  Skateboards need grip to do tricks, longboards are more cruising or dancing.  If they get a little bit slippery, remove the dust, wipe off with water and towel. 

WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF?

Acrylic / Plexiglass 

Standard thickness: .75″ (up to 220lbs)

Optional thickness: 1″ (221 – 340lbs)

WHERE ARE YOU FROM, AND DO YOU SHIP WORLDWIDE?

We make them in Pleasant Grove, Utah and we ship worldwide.  We are a US manufacturer.  We make in house an can “build a bear” customize anything you like

DO THEY BREAK EASY? AND WHAT ABOUT SCRATCHES?

No, they do not break easily. Scratches and dings can happen just like any other longboard. To keep it looking its best we offer cleaners and polishers to keep your board in a near pristine condition. We do have a free 6 month warranty, and can extend out longer.  Our boards are super tough.
